If you want to park on a Camden housing estate, you’ll need to apply for a permit.
Check if you can apply
If a tenant management organisation (TMO) manages your estate, you need to apply to them directly.
You cannot apply for a permit if:
- you live on a car-free development
- you’re a council tenant and have rent arrears
- you're a leaseholder and have service charge arrears
- your car is registered abroad
View the parking permit conditions .
How we prioritise
We do not have many parking spaces on our estates, so we prioritise applications in this order:
- Blue Badge holders living on the estate
- other tenants and leaseholders on the estate
- Blue Badge holders on neighbouring estates
- tenants and leaseholders on neighbouring estates
- council staff, business and non-Camden residents
Timescales for allocating a parking space
We are auditing our parking spaces due to high demand. Unfortunately, we're unable to say how long it will take to allocate a space. This depends on:
- your priority status
- how many people are on the waiting list
- how many spaces are available in your preferred area
We're processing applications as quickly as we can.
Estate parking charges
- tenants and leaseholders
- private renters and businesses
How to apply
To apply for a parking space, you need to:
- select ‘view available parking spaces'- available spaces will be shown as green dots on a map
- select the parking space that you’d like to use and select ‘apply here’ to complete the application form
You can still complete an application form if your chosen space shows as a grey area on the map. We'll add you to the waiting list.
What happens next
We'll review your application.
If a parking space is available, you’ll be contacted by email and asked to provide:
- the Logbook (V5C) for the vehicle
- proof of address
- the Insurance Schedule for the vehicle
- Blue Badge, if relevant
If no spaces are available
We’ll add your name to a waiting list. While you’re waiting, you cannot park on an estate. You must have a valid parking permit to avoid receiving a Parking Charge Notice.
You could also:
Renewing your permit
Estate parking permits expire after one year.
We'll send you a new permit 6 weeks before the expiry date. If you have not received it, email [email protected].

Parking Charge Notices
You must clearly display a valid permit while your vehicle is parked on a housing estate. If you do not, you will be issued with a Parking Charge Notice. You'll have to pay either £80 or £100, depending on the circumstances.
You must pay within 28 days of getting the notice. A reduced charge of £40 or £60 is payable if the Parking Charge Notice is paid within 14 days.
To pay, call 020 7974 7136.
Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs)
Parking on some Camden estates is controlled by Traffic Management Order. This means that vehicles parked on these estates without a valid permit or permission will be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Pay or challenge a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
