Blossom Walks in Camden
In London, tree blossom usually begins in February with the hardiest species and continues into early summer. Cherry blossom season typically peaks between mid-March and mid-April. Early and mid-spring highlights include almond, cherry plum, magnolia, and a variety of cherry, pear, and apple trees.
Camden has an impressive 23% tree canopy cover, and many of these trees produce beautiful blossom. You can explore them by using our Tree Blossom Map – this map plots every tree managed by Camden which produces blossom over March/April.
Why not plan your own Blossom Walk using our tree map? If you’re new to creating walking routes, you can try Google Maps or Go Jauntly or just set off and wander London with the Blossom Map.

Canal and Rivers Trust
The Canal and River Trust has over 2,000 miles of level towpaths along some of the best waterside scenery England and Wales have to offer. Take a walk today and feel better by water.
The Trust works hard to ensure its towpaths are open and accessible so you can enjoy a waterside ramble whatever the time of year. Aside from lock flights, your path is level and there's little chance of getting lost.
The unfolding scenery of a canal-side stroll also takes some beating. Where else could you find such a mix of wildlife, architecture, countryside and of course, the thing that brings it all to life, narrowboats?
If you're looking for great canal or river walks, the Trust's routes map will point you in the right direction. Alternatively, just head for your local towpath and follow your nose.
