Visitor parking permit charges

Visitor permits can be purchased where the street sign says either:  

• resident permit holders   
• permit holders   

This will be followed by a permit identification code beginning with CA.   

Discounted charges 

Discounts shown are for residents who are 75 and over or disabled. You must add this information on your Camden Account and upload proof to get the discount. 

How the charges are worked out 

The cost of a visitor permit depends on: 

• how long the permit is for (short stay or all day) 
• the fuel type of the vehicle (electric, petrol or diesel) 
• the vehicle’s CO₂ emissions (g/km) 

Electric vehicles pay the lowest price. Petrol and diesel vehicles pay more, because of the pollution they produce. Diesel vehicles cost the most. 

Check how much your permit will cost 

1. Check the vehicle’s fuel type and emissions on the DVLA vehicle checker. 
2. Once you know the emissions, check the permit charge by using the relevant table.
3. Add the petrol or diesel air quality surcharge to the permit charge. There is no surcharge for electric vehicles.
