Clean modes of transport
- 17% of people cycle at least once per week
- 39.9% of adult residents walk at least five time a week (at least 10 minutes continuous walking)
- Car ownership, usage and traffic volumes have all declined, and 87.1% of trips were made using sustainable modes of transport in 2024/25
Air quality
- In 2023, 6.6% of all adult deaths were attributable to air pollution
- Ozone air pollution concentrations are increasing year-on-year, with seasonal spikes corresponding to more frequent summer heatwaves
Green spaces and parks
- The average distance to the nearest park for a Camden resident is 339 metres
- A Camden resident has on average 9.1 parks or green spaces within 1,000 metres of their home
- Camden households produced on average 344.8kg of waste in 2023/24 and 29.1% was recycled
Net zero
- There has been a continued decline in greenhouse gas emissions - a 52% decrease compared to a 2005 baseline
- In 2023, Camden produced 5,160Mwh (megawatt hours) of renewable energy, up from 1,074Mwh in 2014
