Camden Libraries Strategy 2026-31: Libraries Do! Explore Read Learn Connect

A new strategy, Libraries Do!, has been co-designed with residents and partner organisations. The Camden Missions are at the heart of our work as we look to the future: Diversity, Young People, Food, and Estates and Neighbourhoods.

Our Libraries Strategy recognises that Camden libraries are vital neighbourhood spaces that respond to the needs of residents and bring people together. Through partnership working, they offer spaces, resources, activities and places for connection that are relevant, inclusive and vibrant.

This strategy sets out how we'll build on these strengths through 5 key themes:

  • People and place
  • Elevating the basics
  • Partnerships and outreach
  • Telling our story
  • Cohesion, inclusivity and relevance

By delivering against these themes, Camden Libraries will continue to evolve as a connected, responsive and forward-looking service and support the communities it serves.
