Breakdown of our total income 2024/25
The total income collected for 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 was £240,126,000. We collected:
- £161,228,000 through rent
- £62,102,000 through service charges
- £15,074,000 through shops, garages, sheds and parking
- £1,722,000 through investment income
How we spent our total income
We spent our income as follows.
Repairs and fire safety expenditure
This includes:
- responsive and reactive repairs
- resident safety
- asset management costs
- disrepair costs
We spent £80,894,000. This is 33% of the total.
Capital investment
This is money invested in properties to offset wear and tear on our buildings. This fund contributes to major works in the future.
We spent £46,771,000. This is 19% of the total.
Management costs
This includes salaries for caretakers and housing services staff.
We spent £44,518,000. This is 18% of the total.
Interest charges
These are the costs of money we've previously borrowed.
We spent £25,114,000. This is 10% of the total.
Estate management expenditure
This includes costs of refuse collection, tree works, grounds maintenance and cleaning.
We spent £20,837,000. This is 9% of the total.
Power expenditure
This is the cost of gas and electricity for the heating pool, metered heating and leaseholders' heating and electricity costs.
We spent £20,010,000. This is 8% of the total.
Provision for bad debts
This is money set aside in case rent is not paid.
We spent £3,060,000. This is 1% of the total.
Reserves/Other
This involves setting aside money for unexpected costs, like a savings account.
We spent £2,100,000. This is 1% of the total.
