Camden Youth MP and Deputy Youth MPs
Hannaan Abdalla, of Maria Fidelis Catholic School, has been elected Camden Youth MP for 2026-28, while Ibrahim Abukar, of Regent High School, and Mohammed Asim Khan, of Haverstock School, have been elected as the borough’s Deputy Youth MPs.
The three young people will serve a two-year term of office. They are the voice for Camden young people, putting forward their interests in local decision-making, as well as representing the views and interests of local young people at regional and national level. Their role is to:
- lead Camden Youth Council
- attend regional and national events
- meet senior Council officers, councillors and other local decision-makers
- visit schools and youth clubs
- oversee the progress of the issues outlined by young people at the Camden Shout Out
- represent the views of local young people at a range of council and community meetings.
