Community Festival Grant launches January 2026
Camden Council will be supporting community festivals again in 2026 to 2027. We aim once again to highlight the importance of Camden’s community spirit, and we welcome more events that bring local residents together with applications from Tuesday 13 January.
We have protected the £35,000 community festivals grant pot in recognition of the important role you play in fostering community cohesion.
The culture service is pleased to be able to confirm that all community festivals and events that receive a grant will also receive a waiver of all non-statutory fees and charges such as road closures, trading licenses, waste collections and parking suspensions relating to an event. However, in the current climate of reduced council funding, we are unable to cover all associated costs. A discussion with the Camden Events team during your application will help identify any additional charges that may apply.
For any small community events that are not successful in securing grant funding, we will continue to support you by applying a discounted, administration fee of £100. Subject to final approvals, this charge will remain for the 2026 to 2027 financial year.

We encourage you to build strong partnerships and develop proposals that involve people from across Camden’s communities, reflecting and celebrating the borough’s rich cultural diversity.
We particularly welcome applications for celebrating the cultural calendar, for example festival occasions such as FIFA World Cup 2026, Windrush, Pride, South Asian Heritage Month, Diwali, Black History Season, International Woman’s Day and the Jewish Festival calendar.
The deadline for grant applications will be 23.59pm on Sunday 28 February 2026 and all funding decisions will be announced by 31 March 2026. The criteria and guidance document is attached, and we advise that you look at this carefully before applying. This year we have moved the application process back to being an easy to use form that you will need to complete and return to [email protected].
