Camden Virtual School

The Virtual School is a service within the local authority whose role is to support the education of children who are known to Children's Social Care, including those children in the care of the local authority. All local authorities are required by law to have a Virtual School Head, who manages the Virtual School.

The Virtual School is so-called because it does not exist in real terms as a building, and children and young people do not attend, as they remain the responsibility of the education provision at which they are enrolled.
