Agar Grove Housing Group Ltd
Agar Grove Tenant Management Co-operative is one of 5 tenant management organisations (TMOs) in Camden. It was set up in 1994 under the Government’s Right to Manage legislation.
What the co-operative manages
The Agar Grove Tenant Management Co-operative manages Lulworth, a high-rise block of 137 flats on the Agar Grove estate, located between Camden Town and King’s Cross.
Estate regeneration
The Agar Grove estate has been undergoing major regeneration since October 2014.
A new high-rise building (currently called Block B) is being developed. When it’s complete, tenants who live in Lulworth will move into the new block.
Lulworth will then be refurbished to provide homes for sale or shared ownership. Many tenants have already moved into new low-rise blocks on the estate or to other homes in Camden.
There are currently 44 tenants and 1 leaseholder living in Lulworth. Empty flats are occupied by Camden live-in guardians, who help keep the building monitored and secure. The Agar Grove Tenant Management Co-operative manages and maintains the communal areas in Lulworth, but does not manage flats occupied by guardians.
The vision for the co-operative
The Agar Grove Tenant Management Co-operative's vision is to create a welcoming, well-run place to live, providing excellent local housing services and community initiatives led by residents for residents.
Co-operative responsibilities
The Agar Grove Tenant Management Co-operative is responsible for:
- block cleaning
- community engagement and development
- concierge service
- estate services
- nuisance management and dealing with antisocial behaviour
- property and tenancy management (tenanted dwellings only)
- repairs and maintenance
Our responsibilities
We are responsible for:
- drains maintenance
- estate parking
- maintenance
- gas servicing and maintenance
- leaseholder’s service charge billing and collection
- lifts maintenance
- maintaining the structure of the buildings
- managing empty properties
- refuse collection
- rent collection and setting rent levels
- tree maintenance
