PDFs and other documents

Many of our PDFs don’t meet accessibility standards. This includes documents published after 23 September 2018, which are in scope of the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations.

We have assessed the cost and demand on our resources of making these documents accessible. Because many of these PDFs are rarely or never viewed, we have decided not to fix or replace legacy documents at scale. We will focus our efforts on high traffic PDFs or those that are most needed by disabled users.

Any new PDFs will be tagged and made as accessible as possible.

If you need information from a PDF in a different format, email [email protected]

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018, unless they’re essential to providing our services.

Maps

Some maps on the website are not accessible, and this is not a requirement of the regulations. We will provide any essential information needed to access our services, such as an address, in an accessible format.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Many issues listed in this statement relate to third-party products.

We have improved our procurement processes and are working with partners and suppliers to provide accessible digital products. We require evidence that new products meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards and have a clear roadmap to fixing known issues.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 29 October 2024. It was last reviewed on 2 April 2026.

The test was carried out by Camden Council. The most viewed pages were tested using automated testing tools by our website team. A further manual audit of the website was carried out to the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.
